About Me

      Hi, I’m Nora Stewart, and I am a graduating senior in the class of 2022 at Wakefield School. I am attending Appalachian State University with a major in Environmental Science and a minor in Communications. 

      I’ve always been interested in where my food comes from and how different chemicals and additives affect our health. I knew that I wanted to incorporate this idea into my thesis as I think it is essential for everyone to know where their food comes from. 

      For my thesis, I created a magazine called, You Are What You Eat, that explores the effects of chemical use in modern agriculture and how we can overcome that use. I touch on some techniques that, if utilized correctly, could easily provide healthy alternatives to the entire population. I hope to inform people of the health issues modern food poses and how we can overcome them to grow the healthiest food possible.
