Abstract

Thanks to modern technology, scientists can genetically modify the fruits and vegetables that we consume daily. Some people claim that there is one way to go; the artificial way. This effect includes spraying deadly pesticides that cover our produce as it grows. Though these techniques are utilized to mass-produce enough food to feed people worldwide, they have been proven to cause more harm to a person's health than good. Organically grown food is proven to be healthier and sustainable. Through techniques such as intercropping (growing two or more crops in proximity to each other), the world can significantly increase the amount of food we produce. If people educate one another about the dangers of chemically grown food, we as an ecosystem will benefit from the results.
